Attract Birds to Your Yard

Many people find that bird watching is a great way to use their spare time. I'm one of those people. I spend hours watching the strange behavior of the birds while fighting to get a place in the feeder or sprinkle the water in a refreshing bath. It is wonderful to see them while interacting with each other. I can tell you if you want to know the meaning of pecking order just sit back and watch the bird feed at feeding time. Yes there are regular feeding times. Early in the morning and again around 3:30 or 4:00 in the afternoon the bird arrives in large numbers. I think the times I enjoy it more are the courtship season and when it's time to teach young people how to defend themselves.

It is very easy to visit birds just to provide them with the right environment. Although as with any hobby, you should be a little careful or you can step forward with putting your patio to attract the birds. Trust me I know! Every time I go to a home improvement center, I never leave without the excuse to walk through the food and feed area. But with a little thought and planning you can create your own yard to be a haven for birds without breaking the bank.

Let's begin with the basics of food, water and shelter. One of the best ways to attract birds to your yard is to provide them with what they need.

Water
It may be expensive to go out and buy a pigeon bath fancy with running water. While this may make you happy the birds are attracted to the water and not in the container. Do not go upstairs unless you are renovating the landscape, you can get a simple plastic bird bath for $ 15.00. Birds are drawn from sunlight that shines from the water. The idea is to save water, not a luxury container. The main thing to remember is cleaning the bird bath and adding fresh water daily. A minute or two with a garden hose will give your visitors clean, fresh, and safe water to drink.

food
The first thing you will need is bird feeders. Yes I said nutrients. There are different types of birds and they love different types of food. You can buy good nutrition at $ 25- $ 35 in most garden centers or home improvement stores. Here are different types of nutrients and birds that are attracted to them:

Feeders for sunflower seeds
Best for chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, goldfinches, siskins, violet purple and home. If you only take out one feed unit, it will be. Make sure that the feeder has metal outlets around the seed dispensers or the birds will chew the plastic. Hang this feeder at least 5 feet from the ground near the window where you can see them if possible.

Hopper feeders
The birds will attract red winged birds, blue islands, cardinals, twigs, pebbles, mosses, hazelnuts, gold emulsions, zinc, purple vines and homes. The hoppers will carry a few pounds of bird food to keep it dry. The feeder should be placed on a column 5 feet from the ground.

Ground feeders
Birds, pigeons, towhees, juncos, goldfinches and cardinals will be attracted to this nutrient
Generally these are the bottom bottom trays that sit off the ground a few inches. Can be purchased with blankets to help prevent snow and screens to allow the birds to keep the squirrels hungry. This species should be placed in an open area at least 10 feet from the trees and shrubs to protect the birds from the attack from the forecasters. This type of nutrient is not good if there are too many cats in the area.
Grease feeders
Shweet is famous for wood, fork, mint and hazelnut. From time to time wakes up, stray, and reptiles as well. Fat greases resemble cages where you put grease cakes. Can be suspended from columns and trees near other bird feeders. Do not use grease feeders when temperatures are 80 degrees or higher, as they can turn into rancid.

Thistle Nutrients

Designed for birds with redpolls, small beaks, goldfinches, and pine siskins. These nutrients are used for Nyjer seeds that resemble small grains of wild rice. The holes are small but since this is eaten by the birds, the size of the holes keeps the seed falling and small beaks can easily reach them. Place this feeder 5 feet from the ground on a column or suspension from a tree.

seed
When you buy seeds get away from cheap mixes at cheap price. The vast majority of these are the filler seeds and the birds will be disposed of.

Sunflower seeds, Sunflower seeds Sunflower oil is a favorite seed of many small feeding birds, in northern latitudes. The coagulated seeds will attract the largest species of birds. Woodpecker in red, jayz, gold bird, birds, evening sunset, pine berries, cardinals, darker, pruning, treacherous, hazelnut.

Millet - White millet is the favorite food for most small beekeepers. Redbirds, doves, quail, birds, towhees, juncos, and cowbirds.

Thistle (nyjer) - This is the favorite food of house birds, common redpolls, American goldfinches, and less goldfinches. It is very expensive though.

Corn cleft - Corn cleavage is very popular as millet, when it comes to birds fed by the earth. Because it attracts moisture the cracking corn will rot so be sure to watch it. It attracts doves, gradients, quail, armies, crows, gonks, birds, and lobster.

Oats - Milo - Wheat - These mixes are often mixed with low - priced bird seed mixture. Most birds ignore them for another food, making them accumulate under nutrients, where rodents can be attracted.

Fruit and Berrys - Birds like neutral bird birds, frogs, and twigs, rarely eat birds of paradise. You can attract them by placing currents and raisins soaked in water all night in the ground feeding unit.

Peanuts - Both whole and broken peanuts can be placed in a rewired wire mesh they will attract starling, woodpecker, chickadees, titmice, brown reptiles, death, kinglets, brown thrashers, blue jays and bangles

Shelter or cover

If possible provide trees and shrubs for the birds in your yard through which they can access the feeders. This added protection will allow the birds to be protected and encourage them to come to your food.

It is not necessary to re-show the scene, but if additional planting is planned, it will be good to think of sites that encourage birds. Trees and shrubs do not necessarily need to be in the yard of neighbors' yard or a nearby garden that also provides this shelter.

This by all means is not the full power to attract the birds to your yard. However, the information here is processed and real and will make the birds approaching your yard in no time at all.
